Preparing For The PMP Exam

At the dawn of the new century, project management is one of the most rapidly growing professions in the U.S. According to Fortune magazine, it is the number one career choice today. As the demand grows, so does the need for standardization of skills and knowledge. More and more Universities are offering Master’s programs in project management, and certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI®) as a project management professional (PMP®) is increasingly being recognized as a necessity for the practicing project manager. In 1999 the PMP® certifications doubled compared to the previous year. To earn the certification, you must first meet certain eligibility requirements and then pass a rigorous 200-question exam covering the five project management processes and nine knowledge areas as outlined in PMI®’s A Guide to Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK™).

This course is totally focused on PMI®’s terminology, processes and knowledge areas as presented in the PMBOK™. It is designed to help you pass the PMP exam on the very first attempt. We will review each one of the nine PMBOK areas thoroughly. You will take practice exams in each one of the knowledge areas and compare your answers with the correct ones. Your PMP® certified instructor will coach you with the content as well as techniques to take the exam. This course is expected to help you reduce the exam study time at least by 50% by focusing on the important topics.
