2009 IIT Professional Achievement Award

Recognized by the Illinois Institute of Technology (where Prasad received his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering) as “an individual who has achieved personal success, made an outstanding contribution to his/her field, and achieved recognition by his/her colleagues. This award is one of the highest distinctions the university can bestow upon its alumni. Past alumni award winners have invented magnetic tape recording, been recognized with India’s highest honor, and even held the office of Governor of the State of Illinois.”

2005 Innovate Illinois Award

The State of Illinois recognized Constant Compliance, Inc., co-founded by Prasad in 2000, as the most innovative small business in the state in the environmental category. Innovate Illinois is a highly selective entrepreneurial competition where innovative companies have the opportunity to compete for a large cash prize. It is designed to encourage and reward companies for implementing or planning innovative products, services, or processes that have or will have a lasting economic effect on Illinois.

1995 USEPA Pollution Prevention for Environmental Excellence Award

Acknowledged by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 7, as a leader who “is taking positive steps to implement pollution prevention measures to protect and enhance our environment.” Prasad’s project “clearly demonstrates a positive effort to reduce pollutants and waste at the source.”

1994 Pollution Prevention Award for Excellence in Education/Communication

Recognized by the Department of Health and Environment (DHE), State of Kansas, for “outstanding leadership in promoting pollution prevention.” DHE “appreciates the commitment and enthusiasm that you demonstrate in promoting pollution prevention through your seminars and workshop presentations.”

1993 Award for Outstanding Technical Paper in the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Practice Area

Recognized by Woodward-Clyde for his technical paper: “Stormwater Pollution Prevention Programs”

1992 Award for Outstanding Technical Paper in the Hazardous/Solid Waste Management and Engineering Practice Area

Recognized by Woodward-Clyde for his technical paper: “Putting Together a Pollution Prevention Program”

1989 Carbide Community Service Award

Recognized by Union Carbide Corporation for “the volunteer spirit its employees demonstrate in the Kanawha Valley organizations and of the quality effort they put on- and off-the-job.”

1988 Union Carbide Corporation Health, Safety & Environmental Technology Section Achievement Award

Recognized for “your excellent contribution to Union Carbide’s key values for Customer Focus and Simplicity.” Prasad’s efforts saved one of his clients approximately $200,000 in annual operating cost.

1987 Union Carbide Corporation Health, Safety & Environmental Technology Section Achievement Award
